In my own defense...
What Brian didn't point out is that we were stuck inside all weekend because of the ice, so I had nothing better to do than play with my cellphone! Plus, if I'm gonna spend 50-75 dollars a month on a plan, I'm darn sure gonna make certain we're getting the best deal. And it really was coincidence that the latest Consumer Reports with the cell phone article came across my desk right as we were talking about this. I'm the periodicals librarian, ALL magazines the library subscribes to come across my desk!
But yes, I am having fun with my new phone. What can I say, I guess he's rubbed off on me. *LOL*
Oh, and our anniversary is what day again, dear? :)

The Friday Five
You have just won one million dollars:
1. Who do you call first?
Brian, of course.
2. What is the first thing you buy for yourself?
The rest of my house.
3. What is the first thing you buy for someone else?
The rest of another relative's house (whoever needs it most)
4. Do you give any away? If yes, to whom?
My favorite charities would certainly get nice Christmas gifts. :) The Pets Society, the library, the Jane Goodall Institute, the local groups helping laid-off Pillowtex workers.
5. Do you invest any? If so, how?
This money's going in the mattress, baby! :)

The Friday Five
At this moment, what is your favorite...
1. ...song? There actually aren't any current new songs out there that really grab me right now. Alan Jackson's "Remember When" is probably the best.
2. ...food? This never changes. :) Mashed potatoes & gravy, macaroni & cheese, Snickers bars, Krispy Kremes and cranberry sauce (the real kind, with can lines!)
3. ...tv show? Whose Line, which is the only show I watch outside of Duke basketball, and I don't think it's been on lately.
4. ...scent? My hubby this morning. (He smelled really nice!)
5. ...quote? "The library is the temple of learning, and learning has liberated more people than all the wars in history." --Carl Thomas Rowan

*ROTFLMAO*
I always despised him. Good riddance. Go Duke, tho! :)

What better reason?
According to the Weekly World News, aliens don't want to conquer us - they just want Krispy Kremes! Hey, who could blame them?

Ah, snow!
Happily, this year the snow managed to hold off until I got back from being out of town! There's not a whole lot of it and it's supposed to stop in another hour or two, but it's pretty while it lasts. Just hope the roads clear up before it's time to drive home!
Spent the new year in San Francisco. Very nice city, cool architecture, beautiful backdrop, friendly people. We had a really good time, even though it rained a good chunk of the time. Since I've been back I've been doing laundry, watching Duke kick ass and working on a web page for the cloggers. And waiting for Brian to get home, which happens tomorrow morning. Looking forward to that most of all!
Hey, the snow's picked back up. I'm going to go stare out the window a little more. :)
