175 miles southeast of Sapporo
Airline food, whatever else it might be, is not substantial. We've been fed a full meal plus a good-size snack, and now that it's breakfast time coming, I'm ravenous again. Oh well, at least the food's not bad.
I don't think either of us slept overmuch. The electronics are holding out for entertainment, though this will likely be the last post I can write until Beijing. Leaving Charlotte, the flight crew spent about 20 minutes rearranging passengers, making our takeoff roll 40 minutes late. The result was that where I had expected to have 20-25 minutes to grab battery juice in Detroit, we instead walked right off one plane and right on to the other.
Oh well.
A note to my fellow air travelers. The flight can, at times, be bumpy. Men, as a rule, stand when micturating. Men, if the fasten seat belts sign is on, sit. Everyone, wear your shoes to the head. Not only because it is across the board disgusting to do otherwise in a public restroom, but because socks are, umm...absorbent.
