Our paperwork shipped off to China October 1, and after a brief delay for a government holiday, we were logged in at the China Center for Adoption Affairs on October 13. Referral times are running about 5 1/2 to 6 months at this time, so we're hoping to get ours early next year, and travel shortly thereafter.
Speaking of, it looks like we'll be a foursome going to China, as Andy and Steph are going along to take videotape and pictures, help with cartage and shopping, and generally be our handmaids for the retrieval period. Not only that, but Andy's going to try to get us over there using his frequent-flier miles, which will save us a huge chunk of cash.
Now if we could just get the house in one piece...
