Okay, so I've been busy...
So sue me. :)

On the home front, we have a lead on a pediatrician who's experienced with adopted kids. Hopefully we can meet with him soon. Home repairs and renovations are nearly completed (well, the current phase of them). The whole house now has nice, clean, kid-suitable floors. The next phase of work (once we get some moulding, trim, and mudroom cabinets taken care of) will likely involve starting on Emma's room.
For her room, we hope to hire Kim Provancher to paint murals on at least two walls. Lara and her mother will probably faux-finish the rest. We'll remodel the closet, change out some shelving, and add some rugs and a new blind. It'll take a little while to figure out exactly what we want, but shouldn't involve a ton of actual work.
That's where we are at the moment, physically. Mentally, well...there's the relief of being done with the home study, coupled with the real anticipation of getting close to our DTC date. Timing-wise, we figure this is roughly the "9-months-to-go" point. We're pregnant. :)
Actually, sister Jamie is expecting, and should be due around March. If all goes well, this roughly the time we will get our referral, so the children will come home just a few weeks apart. That should be pretty cool.
And now, I have to go actually earn my check for the day.
