Whirlwind!
Saturday we gave the living and dining rooms a thorough cleaning, replacing a few fittings and generally getting things ready for the visit from our SW. Sunday, we started on the kitchen and the laundry room. Let's just say that after this, I'm glad we're replacing the flooring (it's nasty).
To be fair, all this cleaning is good. We did the usual weeding out of the magazines, got a bunch of stuff sold on eBay, and are on track for painting and carpet. We also found ways to make much better use of our limited cabinet space. Oh, and speaking of cabinets, we discovered that the kitchen sink is leaking into the cabinet underneath, so there's one more thing to do. Ugh. Just remember the three rules of plumbing: hot's left, cold's right, never put your fingers in your mouth. (Thank you, I'll be here all week...try the salmon!)
Tonight, the big job gets tackled -- my office. Bleah! With luck, it won't take long, but I'm not optimistic. There are a million things that need putting away, and not enough space for all of them.
